WORLD KIDNEY DAY 2025
The third day of World Kidney Day 2025 was marked by an awareness program at Lisie Hospital, beginning with a prayer song by DDT students of Lisie College of Allied Health Sciences.
Dr. Shabeer S. Iqbal,(Principal-LCOAHS) delivered the welcome speech, and Rev. Fr. Jetto Thottunkal (Asst Director ,Lisie Hospital) inaugurated the event, presenting a special theme video.
Dr. Babu Francis (Medical Director and Senior Consultant -Nephrology) gave a felicitation address, while Sr. Daria awarded prizes to poster and drawing competition winners.
Dr. Jeyanth Thomas ( Senior Consultant -Nephrology) ) conducted a kidney health awareness session, and the event concluded with a flash mob by DDT students .The celebrations effectively promoted kidney health awareness.

World Kidney Day Exhibition
As part of World Kidney Day 2025, students of the Diploma in Dialysis Technology (DDT) organized an educational exhibition aimed at raising awareness about kidney health and related diseases.
The event was inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Reju Kannampuzha, Joint Director of Lissi Hospital. In his address, he praised the students’ efforts and spoke about the importance of kidney health, emphasizing the significance of World Kidney Day.
The exhibition showcased informative charts, paintings, and visual representations of various kidney diseases, along with a demonstration of a dialysis machine. The exhibition was well-organized and effective in delivering crucial health information.
Visitors and attendees appreciated the efforts of the students, giving highly positive feedback about the initiative. The exhibition successfully contributed to raising awareness and educating the public about kidney-related health issues.
